Meet the team

Who is building Breakaway?

The development team, consisting of Brandon Quinn, Steve Martin, and Eric Seals have known each other since the early days of Breakaway. Combined they have over 70 years of development experience, and have joined forces to complete the original vision for Breakaway, as a world-class community in the mountains of North Carolina.

Brandon has been involved in construction and development for nearly 20 years, including having built some of the first homes at Breakaway. His work is unmistakably some of the most beautiful construction you will find anywhere. He has built across the western North Carolina region, and set the tone for high quality construction early in Breakaway’s history.

Steve, along with his wife, Julie, was the founding developer at Breakaway. He has returned to fulfill his dream of the community’s completion. He has spent the past 11 years teaching finance, investments, and real estate development at some of the best universities in the county.

Eric marks his 30th year in development in 2024. This experience, coupled with his ownership of homes in both Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach, both first-class New Urbanist neighborhoods, helps him bring a wealth of knowledge to the project.

Together, the three are committed to completing the vision for Breakaway.
