Located adjacent to Breakaway, and featuring the Breakaway ski run and snowboard park, Hatley Pointe Resort, formerly known as Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, is a newly rebranded boutique mountain resort located in Mars Hill, North Carolina. Acquired by Deborah and David Hatley in March 2023, the resort is nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, just 30 minutes from Asheville. The new ownership aims to enhance the resort’s offerings through significant upgrades, including a new lodge, improved snowmaking capabilities, and various dining options. The Hatleys are committed to celebrating the legacy of the previous owners while introducing modern amenities and a focus on family-oriented service, making it a prime destination for outdoor adventure year-round.
The resort features a range of terrain suitable for both beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders, as well as snow tubing activities. Hatley Pointe peaks at an elevation of 4,700 feet, providing a picturesque backdrop for winter sports enthusiasts. The Hatleys plan to offer unique experiences during the spring and summer months, including the opening of a new restaurant called Smoke and Timber.
